The Georgian Foreign Ministry hosted a presentation of the project developed through cooperation between the Ministry and the U.S. government. The project is designed to further develop and strengthen the diplomatic institution of Georgia.
The one-year project is implemented with the financial support of the USAID and through cooperation between the Human and Institutional Capacity Development 2020 (HICD2020) project and the Levan Mikeladze Diplomatic Training and Research Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Speaking before the attending audience, Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani said that “the project implemented in team with American partners will help researchers and diplomats bring about an important and quality product that will assist us in realizing our foreign policy priorities.”
The Acting U.S. Ambassador to Georgia Elizabeth Rood and the Director of the Diplomatic Institute Tinatin Bregvadze also spoke before the invited guests. Within the framework of the event, discussions were held concerning the needs and challenges relating to the professional development of diplomats.
The project presentation was co-organized by the Levan Mikeladze Diplomatic Training and Research Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the USAID.
