The Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of India, Vakhtang Jaoshvili held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Tanmaya Lal, Secretary (West) of the Ministry of External Affairs of India

On October 10, 2024, Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of India, Vakhtang Jaoshvili, held an introductory meeting with H.E. Mr. Tanmaya Lal, Secretary (West) of the Ministry of External Affairs of India.

The discussions focused on enhancing relations between Georgia and India in various fields such as trade, business, culture, and education, as well as cooperation in international organizations. The ambassador emphasized the importance of high-level visits and political consultations in strengthening bilateral ties.

The Secretary and the Ambassador highlighted the decision of the Government of India to open an Embassy in Tbilisi, which is the result of the growing cooperation between the two countries.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing fruitful cooperation between Georgia and India.
