On October 9, 2025, Ambassador of Georgia Vakhtang Jaoshvili presented his Letter of Credence to His Majesty Maha Vajiralongkorn, the King of Thailand. His Majesty underlined the growing friendship between the two countries and expressed hope that the Ambassador would contribute to strengthening it through his activities. The Ambassador reaffirmed Georgia’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Thailand – especially in areas such as trade, investments, education, tourism and culture – for the mutual benefit of our two friendly nations. His majesty the King wished Vakhtang Jaoshvili every success in his future endeavours.
On May 26, 2025, an official reception was held in New Delhi, the capital of India, to commemorate Georgia’s Independence Day.
On March 21, 2025, the annual Indo-Georgian music festival – “Ketevan Festival” was held in Goa, India. This significant event serves to strengthen the centuries-old cultural ties between Georgia and India and promote Georgian culture on the international stage.

2024 marks the 16th anniversary of Russia's full-scale military aggression against Georgia.
On 8 August 2024 the National Flag of Georgia will be flying at half-mast at the premises of the Embassy of Georgia, in order to commemorate the victims of the Russian military aggression against Georgia in August 2008 that led to the illegal occupation of the Georgian regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region/South Ossetia by Russia.
