On April 25, 2024, Ambassador of Georgia Vakhtang Jaoshvili held a meeting with Dr. Aman Puri, Joint Secretary on the consular, passport and visa issues of the Ministry of External Affairs of India. Consul Ketevan Lagvilava participated in the meeting.

Sides discussed consular affairs as well as various issues aiming to further promote the development and expansion of the people-to-people relations between Georgia and India.

Discussions highlighted the decision of the Government of the Republic of India to open an Embassy in Tbilisi, which will further increase the dynamics of bilateral cooperation.

Sides once again confirmed their readiness to continue fruitful cooperation between the two countries.
