The Ambassador of Georgia paid a working visit to the Republic of Maldives

On March 3-6, 2023 the Ambassador of Georgia paid a working visit to the Republic of Maldives. In the framework of the visit the Ambassador held bilateral meetings with the Speaker of the People’s Majlis of the Republic of Maldives, H.E. Mr. Mohammed Nasheed and with the Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services of the Republic of Maldives, H.E. Ms. Aishath Mohamed Didi. 

During the meeting the possibilities for development of bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Maldives in different fields were discussed. 

In the framework of the visit, under economic diplomacy, the Ambassador also held meetings with the representatives of several Maldivian companies during which issues related to the promotion of bilateral trade between Georgia and Maldives were discussed. The ambassador also visited one of the biggest Maldivian producer companies of Tuna fish.
